Ford Assistance is a roadside rescue, repair and recovery service that helps you at home or anywhere in Europe and the UK, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Every new Ford comes with free Ford Assistance for 12 months. While approved used Fords benefit from two years free Ford Assistance.
Have your scheduled service at Hill and Son Limited and we’ll extend Ford Assistance for 12 months for free.
WHAT’S COVERED?
If your vehicle breaks down and the problem is unable to be fixed at the roadside, don’t worry! Ford Assistance has you, and your vehicle, covered. You have a choice of one of the following:
RAIL TRAVEL
If your vehicle can’t be fixed straight away, They’ll pay reasonable public transport costs for you and your passengers.
FARE
If your vehicle can’t be fixed straight away, They’ll pay reasonable air travel costs for you and your passengers.
HOTEL EXPENSES
They’ll pay for a night’s accommodation, for you and your passengers while your vehicle is being repaired.
VEHICLE REPATRIATION
If repairs are not completed before you return home, we can arrange for one person’s travel to collect the vehicle.
LOAD CONTINUATION
We’ll provide a load continuation service to a single destination for perishable goods.

A simple traffic light system shows you exactly how safe and healthy each part of your vehicle is and any recommended upcoming replacement or repair items.

Red items
This area needs urgent attention. It may be illegal or unsafe to drive your vehicle in this condition. Anything marked red needs repairing urgently.

Amber items
Amber marks out the symptoms that warn you there’s something wrong. It might not need urgent attention right now, but if you don’t watch it closely it may result in a more serious problem. Catch it before it gets worse and you could also save yourself a lot of time and money.

Green items
Good news – the all clear. You shouldn’t need to worry about any green items at least until your next service.

You may not be aware that over 10% of air-con gas permeates from the air-con system every year, which means that it may not work as well as it should. This is why car manufacturers recommend your Air-Con system is recharged with gas and lubricant every 2 years. This service is not part of routine vehicle servicing, so if your vehicle is more than 2 years old it’s probably due a recharge.

A scheduled service can help in the following ways:

Using the correct oil and changing it at the correct intervals

Infrequent oil changes or using the wrong type of oil can increase CO2 emissions, as well as shortening the life expectancy of your engine. We use the most fuel-efficient oil suitable for your vehicle, providing up to 3% improved fuel economy.Of course, you may already be achieving these savings if you’re using the correct oil and changing it at the right time.

Accurate tyre pressures

Did you know that 44% of all UK cars are running with under-inflated tyres?

The tyre pressure gauges used by Ford are extremely accurate and guarantee your tyre pressures are set correctly. 25% too low tyre pressure reduces fuel efficiency by 2%. Having the correct tyre pressure can save you up to £37 on fuel per year.

Air filter check

During your scheduled service we check the condition of the air filter to ensure it is functioning correctly. Blocked filters cause the engine to work harder and therefore increase its CO2 emissions.
